Companion Shop Floor

An open space to make an overall TRACES publication. Developing, sharing, discussing, editing, arranging contributions.

Welcome at the Manual Shop Floor!

This is the place to make an overall TRACES publication, to be produced in an open editing process and finished in time for the final TRACES meeting in January 2019. An open platform to develop, share, discuss, reflect upon and edit contributions and arrange them in a meaningful structure. Honest debate, rough ideas, crafted txts and imgs, silly jokes (please add your own).
We see this book not only as an end-product, but also as a process. A tool for peer-to-peer knowledge production, along and in interaction with on-the-ground research, the mid-term meeting, the Vienna review meeting, the TRACES events in the months and years to come.
Here is the first invitation for consultation from March 2017 and the announcement of this basecamp. Results of the first round of consultation are a book concept and a process timeline. Any feedback?
The next steps are clarifying editorial responsibilities and credits, find a date for the next open editorial session and collect rough ideas about possible contributions.
As time goes by, the various sections of this basecamp will fill up. WP4 will do its best to keep the docs & files section as a well-ordered filing cabinet. We'll also hang out in the "campfire" chatroom for those who like this kind of quick, written communication. Email, skype, postcards and f2f are options too.
