Editorial board meeting 13.9.17, 4pm

Dear all,
As the MTM is approaching, we have an editorial board meeting tomorrow. Klaus, Melanie, Gisi, Alenka, Tal, Roma and Marion have confirmed. If anyone else wants to be invited to the Skype meeting, please let me know via Skype (ionnek) or email.
Here is the agenda:
  • Brief report on the book concept. Checking: how do we feel about the dialogical format of the book?
  • Discussion on how the MTM workshops feed into the book
  • The manual workshop: Brief presentation, critical discussion. What are our needs as editors and contributors from this workshop?
Here is a document that outlines these points:

Alenka Pirman, CCP3 member at TRACES 👏
Gisela Hagmair, WP7, TRACES Administrator at TRACES 👏

Dear Marion, Sorry for the misunderstanding - I thought we should contact you only in a case one cannot participate the skype so I haven't contacted you earlier. So yes, please include me in the group call. I hope that we'll start at 4pm sharp because I'll have to leave the skype at 4.45 pm due to another meeting. Anyway could you just confirm whether the skype is at 4pm CET or London time- I cannot check basecamp from my mobile. Best, Suzana

Dear all,

thanks Marion for organising this - I cant take part but I am very happy that the meeting takes place.

As Gisi and I did today a first organisation plan for the workshops at the MtM it would be cool if you could also talk about a bit about the way this workshop at the MtM will be designed:

> who do you want to participate at this workshop at the MtM (I think all of us, right?)
> what material does the workshop need (paper, ...)
> do you need printed material?
> how will the workshop be constructed (how will the discussion be organized so that we have really nice outcomes in the end and how will be responsible to prepare it)?

> as you know all the workshops should be based on small working groups and every working group should take care that moderation is done and that someone is taking notes and someone takes care that the group is keeping the time. The results will be presented at the plenary session so it is necessary to take the notes properly and to present the discussion in a way that everyone can join in and that we can finally decide based on these discussions.

>> based on your discussion tomorrow and your minutes on it Gisi and I will continue to prepare a more detailed schedule for the workshops.

Thanks!!!

Dear Suzana,
very happy that you can make it! And sorry for the confusion. Yes, we'll call you at 4pm.
See you later,
Marion

Dear Karin,
thanks for your message. Yes, definitely, ideally everyone takes part in the manual workshop. Because the way I see this book, it really should reflect the core of the TRACES process, and to identify this we need all the different perspectives.
The themes of the small groups are listed in the agenda document.
We have 2 hours for the workshop. I would like to use the last 30 minutes for groups to visually structure their results, so that we can use the last plenary time to discuss the whole picture.
Printed materials: After todays meeting, we'll correct the existing manual outline materials, I think they might be a useful reference for the MTM.
Thanks also for the question for supporting materials. It would be great if we could cover the walls of our plenary room with flipchart-posters and roughly postcard-sized cards. do you think that's possible? Maybe with bluetack. A more specific list will follow.
Rooms: I would guess that we'll have 4 or 5 small groups - if all almost 50 people participate. Depending on the size of the main room, we might need additional space for working groups. How is this planned for the other workshops?
More after today's meeting.
best,
Marion

Hi everyone hi Marion, Anna is taking care that we get enough rooms for the working groups and Anna and Gisi are taking care that we have the working material. Thanks for your list of requests and thanks that you will talk about this in your skype too. The better we prepare now the better the organisation and the content producation will work

Thanks!! Ka
