Authorship rules

As promised in our meeting at the iff after the review meeting, we have now described how we want to credit contributing people to our final publication.
  • Authors
These are people who write, co-write, or are involved in the collaborative writing of a specific article or similar contribution. Authors will be credited as author or co-author as part of the article/contribution. Each contribution will be referenced according to bibliographic standards as Author name, title of contribution, year of publication, in the respective volume.
  • Editors
These are people who are actively involved in the editorial process. This involves reviewing one or several versions of a contribution, interacting with authors and/or creators (integrating comments), content-based proofreading, editorial decisions regarding the length of contributions and their position in the book, taking care of publication within the necessary TRACES deadline. Editors will be credited as editors of the publication, and referenced according to bibliographic standards.
  • Contribution to the overall book concept
People who actively take part in the process of developing the concept of the publication and are taking responsibility for the concept will be credited in the publication as "concept by..."
  • Visual and textual contributions
This includes field material, visual and textual notes, artistic contributions, interviews, protocols etc. The creator (group or individual) who has produced and/or generated such material will be credited (for stand-alone material) or referenced (for primary sources cited in another contribution).
